Our Custom Walk-In Bathtub to Shower Conversions can reduce the risk of slips and falls by making tub entry simple and safe. We cut out a portion of your existing bathtub to eliminate the high step over of the tub wall. This process turns the tub into a walk-in shower and allows you to step through with ease.
Since we rebuild the wall cavity manually, every Walk-In Conversion can be custom designed to be as deep or as wide as you like. Superior Resurfacing does expert body work and color matching to make all of our tub cuts look like it came straight from the factory. We can also refinish the entire tub if needed. A Slip Resistant Surface can be installed on the bottom of tub and on the new lower step to give greater assistance with slip prevention.

Budget Cut Tub Conversion
Our custom Budget Cut Tub conversions are similar to our manual cuts. The only difference is you can physically see the insert. However, it is a simplified and more affordable version. The Walk-in cut you see here was performed at an assisted living community. (Gayton Terrace in Richmond VA) We have made the step wider and deeper. The old cut was very narrow. The width of the new cuts are 24 inches and 10 inches deep. This makes access much more comfortable for the residents. We also installed a Slip-Resistant-Surface to give better traction and refinished the whole tub.
